Thinking too much

May 8, 2011 - 02:29 | 1 reply

I think way too much. It's not something I brag about. Quite the opposite. Often too much thinking just blocks my mind. When I get my mind settled, when I get the storm of thoughts to calm down I can come up with fresh ideas. I can think straight. The complete silence can help with it. Or a pressure-free environment, a moment when I'm not expected to be efficient. Then I can organize my head.

This thought was inspired by Aki B's note about how we might not be thinking enough (in Finnish). I agree with him: We get so much information, so much input from all around it's hard to process all of it. But maybe it's not that we don't think enough. Maybe it's that we have too much to think about. Does not compute, right?
