Glitch

Glitch is a new web-based massively-multiplayer game, which is highly addictive. It takes place in minds of eleven Giants (they are kind of gods in the game), a one huge world where you can build and develop, learn and refine skills, collaborate or compete with other players and perform tasks. The game is cute and reminds me somewhat of LittleBigPlanet. And it's free.

Besides playing the game you can customize your avatar and communicate with other players, add them on your friends list, customize your profile and even sell stuff for currants, the game "money". In addition of gaining currants in the game, you are collecting experience points and leveling up each time you get enough of them. You are also gaining and losing energy and mood points by doing different sorts of things and if your energy gets low enough you end down in Hell for a little while. Been there, done that.

As mentioned earlier, the game itself is free. If you want to customize your avatar a bit further or buy teleportation tokens, you can buy credits. Or you can buy a monthly or yearly subscription to get some credits, access subscriber-only options and customizations, and have some teleportation tokens. The amount of the perks depends on the level of your subscription.

Glitch is not actually released yet, it's still invitational. You can request for an invite on the site or if you know someone (like myself) who plays the game they might have a hold on a couple of invites.

I currently have a hold on three invites. If you'd like to have an invite, leave a message below this post saying at least "Yes, I want an invite" (without the quote marks, obviously). Remember to give your working email address on the E-mail-field (will NOT be published). Three first three (3) to leave the message as instructed will get an invite.

Edit Oct 31: It seems like the game is now open for all, so you won't need the invites anymore.

Comments and notes

One doesn't need an invitation, you can just join free on the web. Looks funny and addictive...
