Of should and the Weekly Wrapup

Up there on Instacanv.as (via tasselflower blog)

Should is a dangerous word. "I should write on my blog." "I should Tweet more." "I should get this and that done." You know that overwhelmed feeling should leaves you with?

Basically shoulds are those things that come from some sort of outside force. It's like someone else is in your head telling you what they think you are supposed to do. Shoulds never get done and if they do, they don't leave a feeling of accomplishment. They are the things you push to the distant future, hoping you wouldn't have to do them eventually.

I'm working on getting rid of the word should. I don't like using it. I don't like the feeling the word leaves me with. When I should, it's no good.

I wrote a little pretty pdf called Getting rid of SHOULD which I give as a gift for those who subscribe to my newsletter. If you want to know how to get to start with throwing should out of the window, join the journey.

Last week on tasselflower blog (eg. Weekly Wrapup)

Suomeksi (In Finnish):

Pitäisi on vaarallinen sana.

Mervi, I will definitely be signing up to your newsletter to read your story about 'should'.
Right now, I feel a little overwhelmed with writing and blog 'shoulds':
* I should be posting more,
* I should have written more words for my book,
* I should be doing more marketing for my blog...
Letting go of these feelings is tricky, but I know I always feel so much more liberated and shiny-happy-free when I do!

Thanks for this!!! xo

I'm with you Jess. I know those shoulds way too well. I also know how they don't get me anywhere closer to my goals.

I'm always happy to hear I've even a little bit helped someone (else than just myself), so thank you for taking the time to tell me so! Your blog is beautiful, I'm so happy for finding it.
